Chimps Ahoy! is developed by Griptonite Games, the leading developer of high quality, fun games for handheld platforms. Located in Kirkland, WA, the studio employs nearly 100 people who are passionate about making handheld games. Griptonite's team members are not only experts at taking full advantage of each system's unique capabilities, they are also experts at designing games that are perfect for gaming on the go.

Besides original titles like Chimps Ahoy!, the studio has tremendous experience with licensed properties, having developed titles based on big franchises like Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings and The Sims. The studio has shipped over 40 titles across most of the major handheld platforms including GBC, GBA and DS. Griptonite is currently developing games for all major handheld platforms, including Spore Creatures for DS and Age of Empires: Mythologies for DS.
